"I begged them to do a scan to check where her head was"

A mother's experience of Oxford University Hospitals Maternity Services in 2017:
I was induced into labour even though my daughter's head was on the side, confirmed by a scan the day before. I was told by the midwife that if I was induced her head may turn into the channel.
By 10 that evening I was in full blown labour but her head was nowhere to be seen. By 11, my daughter’s heart rate was dropping even though I begged them to do a scan to check where her head was. Nothing was done until 12 midnight as her heart rate continues to drop. Finally, a midwife checked and my daughter head was still sideways. After going through all this they rushed me to theatre at 1am.
With such a traumatic time I was then left to develop 2 massive blisters on my stomach & leaking womb from the c section. I ended up having 4 major surgeries & missed 3 months of my daughter's life because I was so sick with sepsis & left with leaking holes for weeks at a time.
