A mother’s experience of Oxford University Hospitals Maternity Services in 2024:
There was no midwife available for me while I was in labour. I am now wondering if the delayed pushing was partially responsible for my daughter’s heart rate falling during birth.
After my daughter was born she was rushed to NICU and I was completely left alone in the room. I was a pre-eclampsia patient and even after ringing for assistance no one showed up for over an hour.
I had not seen my daughter so decided to find the shower by myself. By the time I got to my daughter in NICU I fainted.
