A mother’s experience of Oxford University Hospitals Maternity Services in 2020:
That new born first time parent bubble of mine was popped when I wasn’t given any blood thinners after having a water birth and 3 days after giving birth I had a blood clot on my lung which meant I physically couldn’t move yet alone breath - was relying on codeine for 2 weeks until the clot broke down which resulted in me being completely out of it, wasn’t able to do anything my new baby.
Still to this date I have scaring on my left lung which has resulted in random chest pains.
