"he ended up with a pneumothorax. I am left with a prolapsed bladder"

A mother’s experience of Oxford University Hospitals Maternity Services in 2017:

I feel let down by both community midwives during the end of my pregnancy and the midwives during the birth.

I was measuring 48cm, baby was obviously big and they waited 2 weeks overdue to induce. I naturally went into labour in the end and was sent home to progress.

2 days later I went back begging them to help me as no further progression. I was exhausted.

My son got stuck and had the cord around his neck. I was put in all sorts of positions with tons of people trying to help get him out.

It’s a blur at this point but he ended up with a pneumothorax. I am left with a prolapsed bladder.

I feel very lucky we are both still here. Why not do a C-section?
